Hi, I’m Aymee Grace and Welcome to the White Pine Home where I love to share my creativity in home decor and event design.
I am born and raised in Miami, FL to Cuban-American parents that were incredibly supportive of my goals at a young age and encouraged me to pursue my dreams and instilled the value of getting a useful education. As a result, I went to Law School after graduating with my bachelors from the University of Miami, and worked as a Prosecutor for the Department of Children and Families in South Florida. It was an incredibly challenging, but rewarding career that was interrupted (gladly) by the birth of my first daughter.
In 2014 I became a stay at home mom, and have always found that I am a better Mom when I have a creative outlet. I started an Etsy Shop in 2016 that was successful and that I enjoyed very much. I also embarked on a joint business with my husband in insurance that we continue to work on together. Throughout the years, however, I’ve always had a passion for design and decor. I was able to design our personal home from the ground up in 2017 that took 14 months from concept to plans. But God had a different plan for our family, and we found our dream home in 2018 by chance and decided to purchase this existing home instead of building the one we had designed. However, the experience taught me a lot about design, functional space planning, value engineering, and selecting materials. It also allowed me to hone in on my design aesthetic and decor preferences. I also researched many vendors for different fixtures, appliances, furniture, decor, and so much more. I have an incredible wealth of knowledge that I am excited to share with you.
But more importantly, now as a mom of two beautiful, smart, and strong willed little girls, I find it ever so important to create something that I can do on my own to give me a retreat from the every-day. I want them to always see me as an example of being a Mom, having a career option in your back pocket (if you so choose to stay home and raise your family) but still being able to have something that’s your own. I hope that many of you fellow Moms, both working and stay-at-home, can relate to my story, as I know so many of us want only to be the best examples to our children.
Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible’!
